Investment Research Analyst

North Island Ventures is seeking an Investment Research Analyst to focus on the firm’s public crypto investing strategy. The Analyst’s primary responsibilities will include:

• performing in-depth independent research for prospective investment ideas
• sourcing and analyzing data to support or refute prospective investment theses
• conducting general research on emerging technological and market trends in crypto
• generating investment ideas for publicly traded crypto assets and crypto-related equities 

The Analyst must have deep background knowledge of the crypto space, and the curiosity to stay on the bleeding edge. There will be an emphasis on collecting and analyzing data, drawing inferences from data and effectively communicating these inferences in written reports, graphs, and oral presentation.

We have a long-term orientation and take our fiduciary responsibilities to our LPs extremely seriously. Thus, we expect all NIV team members to think like an owner and prioritize the firm and its stakeholders over their short-term interests.

We work as a cohesive team but expect all team members to be self-starters who can operate autonomously. While the first few months will involve hands-on training, the Analyst must be a pro-active independent thinker who solves problems with minimal supervision. We have no tolerance for big egos or difficult personalities.

Our team works from our office in Manhattan four days per week, and thus the Analyst must live in or be willing to relocate to NYC.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of full-time work experience; ideally with relevant crypto experience
• Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of the crypto industry
• Deep curiosity, strong opinions, and intellectual flexibility
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Intrinsic motivation to perform at an ultra-high level
• Unquestionable integrity
